What Stickblender Should I Buy?

Most Recent

Here is a topic that has come up on the forums quite a bit.
Many of our forum users have asked for guidance about what type of blender to buy.
Mostly in soapmaking stick blenders (or immersion blenders) are used, but you are not
limited to these alone. The most important factor is making sure that the blender you buy
is of good quality. There are many options and you really don't need to spend all that much
money to pick up a quality blender that will last you for many batches of homemade soap.
There are many stick blenders and immersion blenders out there, but to make it easier
for you we have gathered some of the best rated blenders here for your convenience along
with a short blurb describing why we recommend it. Click on any of the links to be taken
straight to Amazon.com to make a new addition to your soapmaking toolkit!

Cuisinart CSB-76BC SmartStick 200-Watt Immersion Hand Blender

This is a great stickblender, it is lightweight, compact and powerful. It is
dishwasher safe and has simple push button controls that allow ease of use
with one hand. It has a unique blade that allows for even blending as well
as a protective guard that helps to keep your soap batter in the bowl, not
on you! Smart Stick's shaft is stainless steel so it wont react with the "lye monster",
It is sure to last you for many batches! We highly recommend this blender whether you are
new to soaping, buying a replacement or simply adding to your soapmaking tool collection.

Hamilton Beach 59770 Turbo-Twister 2-Speed Hand Blender

This was the first stick blender that I ever bought. I still own it today,
though the gears have worn down quite a bit. It has 2 speeds and 3 different
attachments (though I only really used one of them). For under 20 bucks its
definitely a budget option but works quite effectively, but this may not be
the blender for you if you intend to make many batches of soap. This one we
recommend more for the casual weekend soaper who isnt cranking out hundreds of bars of soap.

Its received modest reviews, currently rated at about 3.5 starts on Amazon.

KitchenAid KHB300 Hand Blender

This is the step-up from the Cuisinart Smart Stick,
intended for the dedicated soaper, it has one of the
strongest motors of any stickblender on the market,
receives many awesome reviews. This is one of those
blenders that you will have around for quite a while,
it will definitely justify its cost over time and has
many features that make it ideal for any soapers toolkit.

Proctor Silex 59735 Immersion Hand Blender

The cheapest one we can find is the Proctor Silex Immersion hand blender.
Just because it is cheap however, does not mean it is a piece of junk.
The Proctor Silex stickblender will serve your immediate needs and may
serve well for the occasional soaper, but we recommend a slightly more
powerful option if you will be soaping very frequently. Check the reviews
and other product information by clicking the link below.
