So you are wondering how to post images
on soapmakingforum.com? You have come to the right place! Below I have
described the easiest way to upload and share an image on the forum. We love
to see pictures of eachothers creations!
Okay, I am assuming that everyone knows
how to post a new topic. Go to the upper left side of the forum and select
"New Topic" in order to open a posting window. This will bring up a screen
similar to the one you see below.
Click on the "browse" button on the bottom of the message posting window to
select the photo of your choice.
Clicking "browse" will open a screen like you see below, locate the place
you have your image stored on your computer, and click the image you would
like to upload. After Clicking the image, press "open"
After clicking "open" you will see the file path to your image to the left
of the browse button. If you see the file path, click "host it".
Clicking Host It will open up a new window from Imageshack, which will look
like the one below, It will show you a preview of your image as well as a
few different types of code options to choose from we want to choose the
"Forum Thumbnail" code by clicking on the
code next to where it says Forum Thumbnail and selecting it, then you can
either press the keyboard shortcut control C on to copy the code, or
right-click and select copy. Do not close this window yet. Click back over
to the forum post message window.
Next, click on the white space of the forum post window, and either press
the keyboard shortcut Control V or right-click and choose "paste". This will
paste the code we copied from the step above into the body of your message
as you see below. Next, you can type out a message of your choice.
After typing your post out, press either preview to preview the post or press
submit. this will submit your message as well as post the image into the
message simultaneously.
Voile!
You have now posted an image!! Feel free to ask for help on the forum if you

Note: There is another method to
post an image, if you have an image online somewhere or have an image that
you are hosting on your own server, all you need to do is press the button
that says IMG on the top right of the message posting window, it is right
below the subject input for your post. clicking this once will make a tag
pop up in your post that says [IMG], click it again and it will post the end
tag [/IMG]. That means that whatever is in between of these two tags will be
recognized as an image. Simply copy and paste the address to your image in
between the tags.
Here is an example:
[IMG]mywebsite.com/myimage.jpg[/IMG]
This will post your image into the body of your message
